Note Paper: 7" x 10¾" (folded in half, yielding four sides of 5⅜" x 7")
Envelope: 3
⅝" x 5½" (to fit Note Paper that has
again
been
folded in half)
Very Good condition. Sheets are
somewhat
browned with age, and have a slight crease across the middle (where they would be folded to fit the envelope).
The
Pioneer Limited
was a passenger train
running overnight on the Chicago, Milwaukee, St. Paul and Pacific Railroad
(the "Milwaukee Road") between Chicago and Minneapolis.
The westbound train (to Minneapolis) was Milwaukee Road train No. 1 and the eastbound (to Chicago) was No. 4.
The final runs of the
Pioneer Limited
were on September 7, 1970.
Seller was employed by the Milwaukee Road, 1977-85.
