~ ROLLING STONES ~BACKSTAGE PASS YOU WILL GET (1) ROLLING STONES Original BACKSTAGE PASS "Buffalo, NY, August 8, 1978, Very Rare" (SEE PICTURES FOR DETAILS) * Older cloth fabric adhesive passes from concerts in the 1970's were printed mainly by the local concert promoters and have plain brown, or white backings. The cloth ones still have the adhesive backing still intact. The passes for concerts during the early 1970's were usually printed by the local concert promoter and only a few hundred had to be printed for each venue. Original BACKSTAGE PASSES from the early 1970's were printed on sheets of "adhesive satin cloth". This material was first manufacturedunder the trademark- ( Mac Tac ),or ( FASSON~ fabric adhesive ).The original passes from this era will have a solid white, brown, or tan colored removable paper backing , with or without a slit scored across the paper.. Years later many backstage passes from concerts in the late 70's and early 80's started having the logo designs of Security Badge, StarLiner , or ( FASSON ~CRACK'n PEEL ) printed all over the paper backing. Then in 1980 the company ~ OTTO, Entertainment & Graphics , began printing full color Backstage P asses for many bands. By the late 80's either [ OTTO ] ; and new companies named ' T-Bird' ; or PERRI were providing the passes for most major touring bands. A backstage pass is usually printed on adhesive cloth with a removable paper backing, For the CREW and TOUR STAFF their Identification passes are laminated in plastic. Backstage Passes were always printed in a much smaller quantity than cardboard Sports Cards.
Color of the satin cloth fabric is off white with green lettering "Guest" at the top and a swooping eagle image in the middle and "Rolling Stones Buffalo Aug. 8" at the bottom. The back of the pass has the MacTac StarLiner adhesive backing still in tact. Slight darkening of the left and right edges of the pass. Comes in a black frame with white matte and glass covering to protect this rare pass. Comes bubble wrapped and shipped in a box with air cushions from a smoke free home.
