This is the first cover that was part of the first run but was withdrawn as it included the unauthorized pictures of Lucille Ball, Rachel Welch, Farrah Fawcett, Doris Day, Joan Crawford and Marilyn Monroe.  It has a
n elaborate die-cut design, with colours varying on different sleeves.  It featured The Rolling Stones in garish drag alongside select female celebrities and lingerie ads.
This was a gimmick cover to draw publicitity and attention and as likely expected, it immediately ran into trouble when Lucille Ball, Farrah Fawcett, Liza Minnelli (representing her mother Judy Garland), Raquel Welch, and the estate of Marilyn Monroe threatened legal action.
This is probably exactly the attention the band's marketing people wanted.
It was
quickly reissued with a revised cover that removed all the celebrities whether they had complained or not, and were replaced with black and punk style colours with the phrase PARDON OUR APPEARANCE - COVER UNDER RE-CONSTRUCTION (found on most reissues since). The only celebrity whose face was not removed was that of ex-Beatle George Harrison.
This album is in super nice condition with only light surface rub and a little price sticker residue remaining from having been removed.  The corners are sharp except one has a tiny push mark.
