    Description

Your bid is for THE RAILROAD HISTORY INDEX, 1921 -- 1984, Compiled by Thomas T. Taber III, and published by the The Railway & Locomotive Historical Society, Inc. in 1985. This book is about the same size as the traditional R&LHS BULLETINS and RAILROAD HISTORY before No.192. It measures 15.0 by 22.3 by 1.1 cm and contains 176 pages, plus the wraps. The book begins with a most useful TABLE OF CONTENTS as shown below. Then a FOREWORD by R&LHS President, Fred A. Stindt, is on one page. INTRODUCTION: ON RAILROAD HISTORY AND THE RAILWAY & LOCOMOTIVE HISTORICAL SOCIETY, by John H. White, Jr. is great fun reading on 5 pages. The R&LHS used to be stuffy and exclusive and everything snotty social that it is not now. Quite obvious since I am allowed to be a director. ABOUT THIS INDEX by Robert C. Post gives the editor of RAILROAD HISTORY his chance to comment on its importance. THE RAILROAD HISTORY INDEX itself is divided into five sections: Authors; Railroad and Railroad History in the United States; Canadian Railways, Railways Worldwide and Individuals. All that running from page 15 thru 147. Page 148 begins BOOK REVIEWS and this is divided into 8 sections to help you quickly discover whether the book that interests you was reviewed or not. Notes and Addenda and Information on the R&LHS finish the interior content, with chapter officers listed on the inside rear cover and now-obsolete ordering information for the book on the rear cover. This book is in excellent, unread, new-old-stock condition.
Your satisfaction guaranteed. Please see my other eBay auctions for more rare and scarce railroad paper. I provide personal service without silly eBay games like waiting for payment before shipping, mandated payment methods, clumsy communications and charging for return shipping. Please check my feedback and DSR's. Everything I sell is POSTPAID USA, so the winning bid is what you pay, plus eBay’s state tax if applicable, unless you want special services. I normally ship first day after auction ends IF I have a payment plan & a proper shipping address, or you are a recent previous buyer. Thank you for reading.
