    Description

    KLM BOLS
    House #85
    Blue Delft Ceramic
    Penhahuis
What makes house number 85 special, is its location: Curacao. The famous Penhahuis at Herenstraat 1 was built between 1708 and 1733, using Dutch bricks from the IJssel region. The ground floor of the building was used as a warehouse; the floors above as a residential building. The 4 gables have decorative curls. At the end of the 19th century, the building was purchased by J.L. Penha & Sons. In 1903, they opened their now famous Penha perfumery there. The historic part of Willemstad is included in UNESCO's World Heritage List.
    Approximately 4" tall.
Excellent condition; no chips or cracks.
