Incredible Large Antique Alligator Hornback Leather & Brass Doctors Bag Suitcase

Description

This is a stunning beautiful antique circa 1890 Alligator Hornback Leather and brass Doctors Bag or travel suitcase. High quality workmanship throughout with a nice deep brown color that highlights the texture of the alligator skin, the bag's interior is lined with a light brown supple leather. It's a nice substantial size measure 19 inches wide, 9.25 inches deep and stands 14 inches high when opened.
Hardware is all brass and the condition is generally good. There is some damage to the sides, one small tear on the left side and a larger tear on the right side where the leather is creased - this is not visible until the bag is open (see photo) Please review photos for further condition assessment. One brass clasps do not seem to work well but the central push button lock is working and the handle is in good condition.
A great statement piece to display, hard to find in this condition as most example have considerable wear or losses.
