Your bid is for a National Railway Historical Society, Inc., Connecticut Valley Chapter, Inc., TRANSPORTATION BULLETIN, Nos.60, dated October-November-December 1959; No.60 (61?) dated January-February 1960; and No.62, dated March-April 1960. This hardbound book measures a standard-sized 22.1 by 28.7. TB No.60 features 12 pages on “A Municipal Transit Operation”, The Greenfield & Montague Transportation Area street railway that operated between these two small Massachusetts cities (Turners Falls is a village in the town of Montague) from 1924 to 1934. An excellent foldout map will get you oriented. The carbarn is still in use by the Franklin Regional Transit Authority to service its fleet of buses. And most of the rail lines shown on the map are still in use. A roster of rolling stock is included, along with 15 photographs and a 1931 timetable.
TB No.61 (typo-reads 60) is titled “Public Utilities Commission Reports, 1931-1948” THE STREET RAILWAYS OF CONNECTICUT. This covers 4 pages with various statistics as to miles of track, numbers of closed cars, open cars, misc., plows and sweepers. Then goes on to 4 pages of The Tramways of Bari, Italy, that includes another nice map. TB No.62 THE STREET RAILWAYS OF CONECTICUT. “Introduction to Notes from Special Acts of the General Assembly. This book is in excellent, museum-quality condition. Your satisfaction guaranteed. Please see my other eBay auctions for more rare and scarce railroad paper. I provide personal service without silly eBay games like waiting for payment before shipping, mandated payment methods, clumsy communications and charging for return shipping. Please check my feedback and DSR's. Everything I sell is POSTPAID USA, so the winning bid is what you pay, plus eBay’s state tax if applicable, unless you want special services. I normally ship first day after auction ends IF I have a payment plan & a proper shipping address, or you are a recent previous buyer. Thank you for reading.
