Fabulous Antique Brown Alligator Doctor's Bag with Brass Hardware

Here is a beautiful antique alligator doctor's bag. A gorgeous rich brown alligator with brass hardware. Approx. 12-1/2 x 6-1/2 (measured on the bottom - sides obviously wider) x 9-1/2 tall (to top of bag). Bottom is stamped with the numbers 502 on one line; 13 below it. From my personal collection and stored for many years, this is in terrific condition, considering its age and use - really shows very little wear on the outside (exterior is very, very good - some corner/edge/bottom wear; handle solid; the clasp works fine; I cannot get one of the side clips to insert - see pic; interior definitely shows use - lining is torn in parts and someone has written their name in ink pen, I believe it says S Rice Warren Mass.; also there is a hinge on the left side that has come apart, but it doesn't seem to affect the opening and closing). I used this briefly as a purse - it is certainly sound enough for that - but would also make a great display piece or prop. It really is a special bag.
